MORGAN COSME PEARCY

1938 - 2016

PEARCY, MORGAN COSME, He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne Worthington Pearcy, and sons Mark (deceased), Phillip, Danny, and Paul (Maureen), and grandson Jake. Morgan was born September 27, 1938, in Havana, Cuba, and served in the United States Army. He graduated from Miami Technical High School in 1957. After high school, he started in the apprenticeship program with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 347 where he obtained his electrician's license. He remained a member of the Union for over 50 years. He owned and operated his own electrical company for many years as well as employment with other prominent electrical companies in the Miami area. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church where he was part of congregations in Carol City, South Miami, and New Horizon. He will be missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, co-worker and friend who believed in God, fairness and an honest day's work. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Scarano Funeral Home, 9000 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida, to be followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Horizon UMC, ATTN: New Building Fund, 5741 S.
