Dear Dante and David,

I was very saddened to hear of Odessa's passing. When I think of Odessa, it is like a bright light shining, and giving off hope and happiness. She was a loving and generous person and I always new when we went to Odessa's house as a young man, there would be laughs, fun and it would be special because Odessa was there. I wish I would have seen more of her after Horace Mann and Edison. I always heard great things about Odessa and never expected anything less. David, take care and God Bless you, your mom is with the Lord and in a better place. With Love, Gordon Nimmo

Dear Dante, You had one wonderful wife and I feel your loss. As a classmate from 1960 and fellow Red Raider she was a fun girl. As a Shores Policeman for 35 years I saw her off and on over the years and she was just first "CLASS". God Bless you and your family...

Dearest Dante & family,

I will always treasure the thoughts of Odessa. I haven't seen her in years, but, think of her often. I was her hairstylist during the formal years and will always have her in my heart.
I was so sad to read about her passing this morning and sad I wasn't there to be part of her care.

I'm so sorry for your loss and hope to see you soon.

Love

Always,

Dear David and Dante,

When I heard the news of Odessa's passing, my first thought was "A light in each of us has gone with her." She brought that light into all our lives with her wonderful sense of humor, her honesty and her unending capacity to share her love with all whose lives she touched.

She fought such a brilliant and courageous fight and, not once did I hear even a hint of self-pity during our conversations. The last time we went out to dinner, she kept us all laughing (even though we could tell she was in pain). What an inspiration she was and continues to be!

This beautiful being was taken from us too soon but, she will live forever in our hearts.

My heart goes out to both of you and I wish I could make the trip for the service and for the celebration of her life and give you a hug in person. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you both.

Dear Dante and David; I knew this day would come, but it is too soon to loose her. Odessa and I had such fun together as young wives and mothers, then business partners, then friends and lunch pals. I have never met anyone with a better laugh, attitude about life and generosity of spirit. She was so proud of her family and so good to her friends and community. We will all miss her greatly. My sincere condolences.

It was 1960 when I met my Odessa - so young and fresh-faced. Her sense of humor, easy laughter, and wicked wit were so endearing.

Over the last 49 years we shared high school, college, marriages, children, careers, and travel. She was the best true friend... always there caring, supporting, and wisely advising.

My heart will forever overflow with love for her and ache without her. What will we do without her little "Odessaisms".....?

Odessa was one of the classiest women I have had the privilege of knowing. My mother and father were good friends when I was young and some of my best memories are of her fun spirit, quick wit, and generous soul. She was an influence in a direction I took in my life to study architecture when she was an interior designer in the design district.
She instilled in me the passion of travel. I couldn’t wait to hear of her exotic adventures after she returned when I was young boy. Odessa still lives through the impact she has had in our lives.

My life was blessed the day Odessa walked through it the first time and she has always been with me since. Her Grace and Strength inspires me daily to be a better person and I know how proud she still is of her beautiful family. May they find peace knowing she is with us, her spirit shining in everyone she has touched.

Dearest Dante and David - She adored you so. She never wanted to pain you, to see you suffer. She fought a most brilliant, wise, inspirational fight. She joins legions of family and friends who have gone before, her parents, my parents who loved her so - especially my Dad, her beloved Uncle - she was an angel on earth who perhaps carried their souls to the rest of us she has now left behind. She did not go gently into the night. I was sadly blessed by the breast cancer sisterhood with sweet, soulful Odessa. Love and profound sympathy from her Wytias side of the family to you both and all of your families. Betty Wytias (Denver cousin)

Dear Dante & David, Odessa has meant a lot to me through the years. From going to church and having fun in Anchor club while in high scool, the visits to her beautiful home, attending the lovely lunches and birthday parties she generously hosted, she was always in my thoughts. There is one special memory I will never forget, her words to me when my brother passed away - she told me "God never closes a door without opening a window". She will be missed.
