BLOCK, PATRICIA KATHLEEN ROSE, passed on August 31, 2016 after a 5 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on March 2, 1942 to Oscar and Kathleen Rose, Pat was proud native of Charleston, South Carolina. She attended Chicora High School, Santa Fe Community College, and South Carolina Baptist School of Nursing. After moving to Florida she dedicated over 25 years of her life to The Cushman School in Miami as the school nurse and registrar. Pat loved her cats, stone crabs, mystery novels, classic rock and Motown, and her home state of South Carolina. She is survived by Ronald, her devoted husband of over 50 years; sister Colleen; daughters Alison and Kristin; brother and sister-in-law Fred and Marina Block; nieces Rebecca Richman and Susan Fulmer; nephew Fred Block; son-in-law Ernesto Mart¡nez; and granddaughter Juliette Mart¡nez. Her remarkable survival was made possible by the skilled approach of Dr. Bach Ardalan and surgeon Dr. Dido Franceschi at the University of Miami. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm., Sunday, September 4th at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, 602 NE 96th Street. Visitation immediately following service until 8:00pm., at Gregg L Mason Funeral Home, 10936 NE 6th Avenue. Final interment will be held in Charleston, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cushman School or Miami Shores Presbyterian Church Gregg L Mason Funeral Home Miami, Florida 305-757-9000

I cannot believe it has been 4 years since we lost our wonderful Pat. I have so many memories of Pat and I taking our girls to ballet class, all the drama plays and pool parties. We spent many years at Cushman School together. Blessings to Ron, Alison and Kristin. I love you all!
