Miami, Florida - Patricia Rinaldi, age 85, passed away at home in Miami on Jan. 29th. She was born on Nov. 9 1938, in Miami, to Frank & Dorothy (Swigart) Kilgard. Patricia was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Leo. She is survived by her children, Rosemarie, Elaine, & Steven (Grizel); her siblings, Janet Barbour & Frank Kilgard; and her step-grandson, Enrique Kin. The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Judy, Jamie, Pauline & Maxine. A Viewing is scheduled for Sat, Feb 3rd from 2-6 PM at Van Orsdel, 11220 N Kendall Drive, and a funeral mass is on Mon, Feb. 5th at St. Timothy's Catholic Church. Read more at VanOrsdel.com. Pat was my high school Spanish teacher at Coral Gables Sr. High and a wonderful teacher at that. After teaching for 25 years I transferred to Blue Lakes and found Pat, my high school teacher, was my fellow teacher. We had so much fun talking about my high school years and I have to safe she found her real calling teaching elementary school. She loved her job and her students loved her. How lucky I was to have known and worked with Pat.

My deepest condolences on the loss of a beautiful lady, kind and generous person, and overall wonderful human being. I was given the gift of knowing Pat and having her in my life as a friend for 50 years. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Pat was simply the best kind of teacher. Serious about her job, kind to the students; fair. She exuded `teacher´ qualities. I worked with her for so many years and was in awe of her skills.
