Vida,
I am saddened to hear that Paul had a long difficult time with illness but how uplifting it was to hear all the tributes to a guy that put his best foot forward even under these difficult times.
Paul reminded me so much of my father. They found each other at a party at our house and I remember feeling how alike they were. Namely, "Gentle-men", kind, and always easy to get along with. Paul had that special ability to make me feel close to him; even when I hadn't seen him for a year! He was "a cut above" most. His dedication to you and the family is enviable. I know your support system is there, as he was there for them. Ruth & I extend our warm wishes to you and the family. Paul, when I see you again I"ve got some great jokes for you to add to your collection. Le chaim!!

Paul called me on or about May 20. He left word with my daughter. He did not know he was reaching me in Toulouse France where I was spending my birthday with my family. I returned home today to read of his death.
Everything in his obituary is on target. I worked with him overthe past few years at SCORE. He was loved by both his colleagues and his clients. I think one of his best qualitites was his ability to listen well to others and respond appropriately. I considered myself his friend. He has left many wonderful memories with so many people he has touched.
