Pauli Reinert Obituary

REINERT, PAULI, of Coconut Grove, passed away Saturday, October 11th, 2008. A resident of Miami for 40 years, Pauli is survived by her children, Lynn Levine Warner of Orlando, Edward Levine (Kathleen Davies) of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Reinert (Susan) of Lancaster, California, Michele Reinert Hopkins (Michael) of Miami, her 10 grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Shadow. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Anthony Reinert and son, Robert. Pauli was a long-time volunteer working with AIDS patients through the Health Crisis Network, the Camillus House, as well as a volunteer provider of pet therapy at the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. She took special joy in her watercolor painting classes and companions at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. Born in Philadelphia, Pauli was a singer with a swing band in the 1950's with the stage name, Paula Wayne. She also appeared on American Bandstand with Dick Clark. Her life was filled with music, family, friends, and laughter. A memorial service will be held at Riverside-Gordon, 5900 SW 77 Avenue, Miami, at 2:30pm on Sunday, October 12th. I was saddened to hear of Pauli's passing. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. I worked with Pauli, and we took paralegal classes together in the seventies and eighties (in Miami). I remember all of the laughter we shared, particularly in the law library doing research for our Legal Research class. I enjoyed going to classes, because Pauli made it fun.
