Phillip Tedder Obituary
Born on March 24, 1930, in Miami. He graduated from Tech High in Miami and went on to attend the University of Miami, where he played football and laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for sports and education.
Phillip served his country in the U.S. Air Force followed by a career as a physical education teacher and football coach. He inspired generations of students at Miami Edison and later at Miami Springs High School.
He was a member of Miami Shores Presbyterian Church and lived a life guided by faith, service, and commitment to others. Phillip shared 70 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife Ellen, who preceded him in death.
He is remembered by his daughters Kathy and Barbara (and her husband Jim), his son Phil, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Gregg Mason Funeral Home, 10936 NE 6 Ave, Miami Shores, FL, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
In honor of Phillip's memory, donations may be sent to "Pass It On " thru Miami Shores Presbyterian Church.
