Robert Whitebook

1940 - 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we remember Robert (Bob) Whitebook z"l, who passed away at the age of 85. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived a full and joyful life centered on family, friendship and faith.

Married for 63 years to his beloved wife, Ronni, their bond was a shining example of love, partnership, and laughter. Together they built a family rooted in kindness, generosity and warmth - values that will continue to guide generations to come.

A successful builder and businessman, Bob took great pride in creating homes and communities - places where families could grow and thrive. As a past president of Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, he devoted his time and natural leadership skills to enhancing the Beth Torah community. Bob's vision and integrity earned him the respect and adoration of everyone around him. His warmth, wisdom, compassion and conviction, allowed Beth Torah to grow with the community. His generosity - both of spirit and resources- touched countless lives. Whether guiding a project, mentoring others or lending a listening ear, his leadership came from the heart.

Bob was a man of many passions. He loved music, gardening and the theater- each bringing color and joy to his life. He was also an avid traveler, exploring the world with curiosity and wonder, eager to learn about new cultures and meet new people. Whether at home or abroad, his enthusiasm was infectious and his spirit endless. But, above all, Bob loved people. Whether he was lending a hand, sharing a story, or greeting everyone with his unforgettable big hugs, he always made everyone feel valued.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and community. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Ronni; his children, Jodi and Carlos Lerman, and Daniel and Hedy Whitebook: his grandchildren, Drew and Lisa Lerman, Adam Whitebook, Elizabeth and Jason Butler, and Jolie and Dr. Harold Rivner; and his great-grandchildren Margot, Clara, Eva, Emmy, Ilana and Joanie.
