Rosalie J. Minor

MINOR, ROSALIE J., of Jupiter ended her battle with cancer on July 2, 2005, with her two surviving children by her side. Rosalie was born in New York City and was awarded her Bachelor's degree from Hunter College in 1955. Rosalie taught in New York City elementary schools for many years. In 1972, Rosalie migrated to Miami with her three children, Barry Haft (now deceased), Arthur Haft and Michele Haft. In 1995, Rosalie married the love of her life, Ira J. Minor. In 1996, the Minors moved to Jupiter, where Rosalie quickly became an active member of the community, participating in Brandeis University's National Women's Committee, InvesTech Partners, Inc., bridge groups and numerous cultural pursuits, including routine attendance at the Miami City Ballet, Florida Stage, and Lifelong Learning at FAU. Rosalie is survived by her mother, Jennie S. Jacobs, her loving husband, Ira J. Minor, son Arthur F. Haft, daughter Michele Haft Hudson, daughter-in-law, Mary T. Haft, grandchildren Jacob Haft, Emily Haft, Jaclyn Haft, Hayley J. Hudson, and Bennett C. Hudson, brother Stephen E. Jacobs and stepchildren Matthew Minor and Michelle Minor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Beth Am, 2250 Central Boulevard in Jupiter, followed by a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road in Tequesta. The family will also receive visitors at the Minors' home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Palm Beach County or Temple Beth Am.
