Selma Kane Obituary

KANE, SELMA. Mrs. Selma Kane, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at her residence, The Town Square Assisted Living Facility of Viera, Brevard County, Florida. Private graveside funeral services and burial for Mrs. Selma Kane, 97, will be Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Lakeside Memorial Park, Miami, Dade County, Florida. Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel are in charge of local arrangements. She was born November 18, 1911 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Samuel Kane. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Stanford Kane (Marian) of Dade County, Florida, Dr. Donald Kane (Carole) of Brevard County, Florida; one daughter, Ellen Siegelman (Dr. Joseph) of Brevard County, Florida; ten grandchildren, including Andrew Kane, Dr. Jeffery Kane (Julie), Dr. Frederick Kane (Michelle), Jonathan Kane (Randi), Dessiree Kane; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Guests wishing to join the family for Shiva are welcome on Tuesday Evening, January 13, 2009, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the home of Stan and Marian Kane. Memorial donations may be made to The Miami Project.
