Sharron Lewis Obituary

LEWIS, SHARRON. FOUNDER: SHARRON LEWIS DESIGN CENTRAL, MIAMI FLORIDA It is with deep sadness that Sharron's husband, Jihad Audy, and their respective families, inform you their beloved Sharron passed away on March 17th, 2011, after a long, determined, and courageous fight against cancer. Sharron will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Jihad Audy; her parents, Mel Lewis, Heather and Alan (stepfather) Leggat; her sister, Christine Lewis, with her children, Eromon and Ruby; and her uncle, Ash Lewis. All the Audy family will also miss her deeply, as will her many wonderful friends, staff, and clients. Sharron was born in New Zealand, and on completion of her studies, settled in New York City. In 1999 she established her design company in Miami. Sharron's passion and talent for design are legendary. Accomplished, innovative, inspired, artistic and elegant -- words simply cannot describe the brilliance that was the essence of Sharron. Her ability to envision beauty by simply walking into a space spoke volumes of her genius. With only the dimensions of a room, and a quick conversation about the client's purpose for the space, she began her magic. Her sense of style always left those who saw her work in absolute awe of the finished results. Truly a modern- day alchemist, she created gold from the most basic materials. An unqualified perfectionist, Sharron's attention to every minute detail clearly set her, and her company apart. Sharron's company, now led by her husband and business partner, Jihad Audy, along with the multi-talented design team and employees will forge ahead to even greater heights. Inspired by Sharron's example, vision, and knowledge, they will continue to create magical results for clients. Sharron and her husband Jihad's families invite you to attend Sharron's Celebration of Life Church Service at 4.00pm to be held on Sunday March 27th at: Coral Gables Congregational Church 3010 De Soto Boulevard Coral Gables, FL 33134 (305) 448-7421 View this Guest Book at www. I am so, so sad. I just looked Sharron Lewis Design up and realized something was wrong.

Sharron helped me, selflessly, after 9/11 when I had lost my furnishing from my apartment. She helped me decorate my whole new house in Jersey.

Bless you Sharron, you were an amazing woman. Life is too short sometimes.

I met Sharron through a mutual friend. I was amazed with her spirit, energy and creativity. She will live on in all the beautiful spaces she left behind for us to enjoy. I will miss stopping by her store to visit and look at all her beautiful things.

The memorial service for Sharron was simply beautiful today. The church was full of love. I met Sharron in the mid 90's in New York. I dedicated a recent blog to her memory @ www.missblogworthy.blogspot.com

Met Sharron several years ago thru my brother, Paul Donegan. Sharron spent the day with us in South Beach - showing us her beautiful, tranquil apartment - something I have never forgotten. Most memorable was a wonderful walk we took along the beach. Sharron and her husband will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

We were so saddened to read about Sharron's passing. We met Sharron in 2000 when she helped us create an amazing play/computer room out of a former enclosed garage. What had been a hot, unusable space became the desired hangout area for our kids to play games, do their homework, and of course, go online. Sharron not only helped us utilize a small space in a wonderfully effective way, but the colors, furnishings, and design style she created for us are still beautiful to look at 11 years later. On top of all this, she was so easy going, friendly, and terrific to work with. Our thoughts are with Sharron's family; she will be missed.
