BLENHEIM — Ellen Eugenia Caulder Driggers, age 87, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at her home in Blenheim.
Born December 15, 1937, Ellen was the daughter of CV and Louisa Caulder. She was a longtime member of Parnassus United Methodist Church in Blenheim, where she served as Secretary/Treasurer for 40 years and was a choir member.
Ellen was a graduate of 1955 Lower Marlboro High School. She was known by family and friends as a dedicated caregiver. She dreamed of becoming a nurse and attended Winthrop College to study nursing. Her career path changed when Leon Driggers went "to Rock Hill to bring her home" to Blenheim. They were married in January of 1956 and at his death were married for 57 years.
Ellen leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: her children Gene Driggers of the home, Freida Driggers of Columbia, Beth Rhanor of Blenheim; grandchildren Chris Driggers of Charlotte, Steven Driggers of Darlington, Kevin Driggers of Wallace, Amy Driggers of Wallace, and great grandson Eli Driggers of Hartsville. She is also survived by a brother, Ottie Caulder of Bennettsville as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents listed above, husband, Leon Driggers, twin sons Mark and Milton Driggers and brother Charles Caulder.
Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at Parnassus United Methodist Church with burial in Sunset Memorial Park directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Parnassus United Methodist Church, and at other times at the Driggers Home, 3756 Hwy 381 S., Blenheim.
