I drove by Kathy's house in Malin the other day. She was just the best buddy. Loved her dogs, always remodeling and the best event photographer, she really had an eye.
I just miss her.

Kathleen is my cousin. Her mom and my dad were brother and sister. Kathleen was always so very kind to me and my family. She had a big laugh and even bigger heart. I was very sad to hear the news of her passing, but know that she is finally HOME - with those family members that preceded her. Love and light to Kimmy and Kevin. It's been decades since we have crossed paths, but I sure would love to hear from you. Please contact me should you feel so moved.
Blessings to you.

Kathleen and I were both grandchildren of William and Wilhelmina Roos born in the year 1944. There were a total of
5 grandchildren born that year, and the final number grew
to 43 over a span of many years. Kathleen and I shared our Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles in Long Beach, California in our
early years and had a many memories from that time.

As our Grandmother aged we both spent time with her at the
Dutch Home for the Aged in Artesia. Kathleen would delight
our Grandmother with her wit and the day would be brighter
because of her visit.

Kathleen was able to attend the memorial of my Mother and her
Aunt Sally in February 15, 2015. It was so wonderful to see Kathleen and share time with the Roos family. Since that time Kathleen and I shared many telephone calls and found that we
both were amazed at how many years had gone by...we were now both 72 years old.

Kathleen had a deep belief in God and his plan for her after
death and I know that she rests in Peace with him.

My Love To You, Kathleen
Your Cousin, Karen

My dear friend. I just don't know about this. You were like my sister, my office mate. The one that would push me to keep going.
We would talk about so many things, your kids, the dogs. We would rummage through your sheds because you were off on a mission to find that shadowbox, or lord knows what.
I just don't know about all this.
I miss you. Thank you for being that wonder that moved mountains.

Kathy and I worked together for many years and we became very good friends. We'd often go to lunch or dinner when she'd come in to town (I worked nights, so was usually on weekends), or I would drive out to Malin for dinner there. I also spent a lot of time at her home in Malin, where she managed her 40 acre mini ranch.

She often drove the potato trucks at harvest time and I always marveled at how tiny she was, hauling around in those big trucks!

My two youngest grew up knowing Kathy as a part of our family, we had a very large Thanksgiving dinner at her place one year; another at mine the next.

I remember when she did some remodeling in her house, again, I marveled at tiny little her, hauling around sinks, tubs, carpeting and countertops. Almost all of this was done by herself. Hard to believe.

Kathy, I loved you and will truly miss you, we had some great conversations, some great times together and I can't believe you're gone. I do miss you, my friend.

Kim and Kevin, know that your Mom had a lot of friends and those who thought of her as family. We'll miss her.
