Bobby H. Burdette

BURDETTE, Bobby H., age 84, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. On June 15, 1931, in Mobile, Ala., the late Howard and Lola Parham Burdette welcomed their son Bobby to the world. Mr. Burdette retired as the bottle house supervisor from George Dickel Distillery. After retirement he enjoyed watching football, baseball and old westerns. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Burdette; son, Ronnie Burdette; sister, Betty Simmons; special friend, Mary Pounders; and four-legged best friend, Bee Bee Burdette. Mr. Burdette is survived by his nephews, Tommy (Claudia) Simmons and Rusty (Valarie) Simmons, both of Florida; special friends, Martin and Jackie Finney of Winchester; and spiritual son, Don (Lucy) Bobitt of Arkansas. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester with Rev. Rudy Wilkinson officiating.
