Forrest Levi Latham

1946 - 2018

LATHAM, Forrest Levi, age 71 of Belvidere, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at St. Thomas West in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, he was born on Aug. 28, 1946, to the late Moses Levi and Margaret Mae Thompson Latham. Forrest was a lifelong farmer of cattle and crops. He grew a garden every year. He loved being outside, going to the cabin and walking through the fields at the Taylor place as well as making peanut brittle for Christmas gifts. A servant and friend to all, he will be remembered as "the best friend a friend could have." Forrest was loved by everyone and he loved everyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Davis Latham. Forrest is survived by his siblings, Flora (Gerald) Crabtree of Belvidere, Sue (Tom) Carr of Belvidere, Ted Latham of Belvidere, Martha (Stanley) Pickett of Belvidere and Fred Latham of Belvidere; sister-in-law, Helen Latham of Belvidere; nieces, Suann and Lisa; nephews, Dewayne, Troy, Ted Jr., Richard, Jason, Jimmy and Jerry; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and his four-legged best friend, Buddy. Visitation with the family was held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Robertson officiating. Interment followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
