Glenn H. "Radio" Barnes

BARNES, Glenn H. "Radio," age 90 of Decherd, departed this life on Monday, June 11, 2018, at STRHS Winchester, Skilled Care from an extended illness. Mr. Barnes was born on Sept. 23, 1927, in Decherd to the late John B. Barnes and Rosa Belle Fields Barnes. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Barnes was a self-employed independent truck driver for approximately 60 years. He loved to watch westerns on T.V. and spending time with his cats. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Barnes and daughter, Glenda Kelly, both of Decherd and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Barnes will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Clark and Bro. Brian Nave officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd.
