Debra Elizabeth Hawkins Trosper passed away on May 20, 2025 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born December 11, 1961 in Bristol, Tennessee, to the late Patsy Lee (Roark) Hawkins McMillan and John Franklin Hawkins. Known to her friends and loved ones as Debbie, she spent much of her childhood with cousins whom she considered as close as siblings. Some of her fondest memories were made with them at her grandfather's farm in Tazewell, Virginia. She later lovingly cared for her grandfather, Vanam Roark, during his final days. Debbie traveled across the states as well as abroad before making her home in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and lovingly doted on her sweet Beagle, Bella. She was happiest working in her garden growing vegetables, herbs and flowers. She will be remembered most for her kind heart and devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving partner of many years, Mark Walk; son, Tyran Hines; and two sisters, Trish Lopez and Dawn Furler. A private committal service will take place at the Roark family cemetery in Tazewell Virginia.
