Edith Yaney Obituary
Edith Marie "Edie" Yaney, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. She was born in Marion, Virginia, and lived in many different places during her life, including Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Indiana.
Edie will be greatly missed by her family: her children, Joseph (Sandi) Caywood and Jennifer (Steve) Zajac; her grandchildren Danielle Caywood (Kellie), Patrick Caywood, Jakki Frankenhoff, Jodi (Jonathan) Franciose, Katie Zajac, and Isaac Zajac; and her great-grandchildren Patrick Tate Saunders, Jaxxon Saunders, Lilly McKinnon, and Sofie Frankenhoff. She is also survived by her brother Ronald (Carol Ann) Thomas, her sister Opal (Jim) Kestner, and her nieces and nephews: Amy (Danny) Salyer, Jimmy "Bo" Kestner, Ryan (Caleb) Carr, Jacob (Taryn) Thomas and many great nieces and great nephews that she loved! She is preceded in death by her parents, Graham and Ernestine Thomas. She also will be dearly missed by her former husband and friend, Gary South.
A funeral service for Edie will take place on Monday, June 2, at Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, and the service will start at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to share their condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
