Freda Ferski Obituary
September 17, 1933 - July 11, 2021
Freda Elizabeth Harmon Ferski, age 87, of Bristol, Va., went to be with Lord, on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Viviant Healthcare of Bristol.
She was a beautician for 15 years with a shop in her home and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Abingdon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley Addison and Etta Delp Harmon; her husband, Joseph L. Ferski; daughter-in-law, Colleen E. Ferski; and her beloved cat, Dee.
Survivors include her son, Philip Eugene Ferski and Mark Allen Ferski , both of Cary, N.C.; several nieces and nephews including Susan Deatherage, Thomas Harmon, Roger Harmon.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Akard Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation Tri-Cities, 301 Louis St., #304, Kingsport, TN 37660.

Phil, I have just come home after getting lost coming to your mother's wake. Consuela was with me. s you know thetwo of us had set at church with your parents and then you mother for at least ten years. We so wanted to come and say good-bye to her and to let you know how much she was loved. We truly missed her when she could no longer come to Mass.
We arrived at Akard's at exactly eight o'clock. Everything was locked.
Again, I am sure you will miss your mom. I want you to know how much I admired how you cared for her. What a son!!. You cold not havedone more.
I hope getting back to your own life (after you take care of your paretns things) will be full and fulfilling.
