Jackie French Obituary
CHILHOWIE, Va.
Jackie Bryan French Sr., 80, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was a carpenter for over 50 years and avid musician. He loved restoring old cars and trucks as long as they were Fords.
He was a member of the Chilhowie Methodist Church but had attended Macedonia Baptist Church for many years with his family. He played his guitar in the church choir, which he loved.
Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Jackie Bryan French Jr., and his parents, Carmel and Hope French.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Anna Lee French; very special granddaughter, Sydney Brianne French; daughter-in-law, Susan French; special cousin whom he loved like a brother, Dr. Sam Vernon and Gaile; brother-in-law, Buster Heath and Judy; and many nieces, nephews, along with his car buddies and so many close friends.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in the Macedonia Cemetery with full military rites rendered by VFW Post 4667 with Preacher Dennis Eller and Pastor Joey Roland officiating.
Pallbearers will be Scott Heath, Kevin Testerman, Jeff Pickel, Troy Pickel, Chris Testerman, Hunter Testerman, Travis Pickel, and Sam Counts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Blevins, Cory Blevins, Calvin Tuell, Cody Tuell, Danny Henderson, and Ron Coe.
