ANTHONY GRISOLIA

ANTHONY GRISOLIA Anthony Albert Grisolia, age 87, died in his home in Van Alstyne, Texas on November 28, 2023. He was born on June 2, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Louis and Rose Grisolia.After high school graduation Anthony began working for Illinois Bell Telephone Company where he met and later married Georgia Archibald on August 2, 1958. Together they shared 65 years of marriage and raised a family of five children. Anthony retired after 30 years with the Bell System. Anthony and Georgia loved to travel and did so until his Parkinson's no longer allowed them to. He enjoyed bird watching and wood carving. He loved his faith and his family. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; children, Paul Grisolia and fiance Janice Hestand, James Grisolia and wife, Darla; Ann Higginbotham and husband Larry; Matthew Grisolia; Christopher Grisolia and wife, Deborah. Thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Phillip Grisolia, and grandson William Grisolia. Family visitation will be on Monday, December 4th from 6-8:00pm at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. Services will be Tuesday, December 5th with rosary at 9:30am and Mass at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Van Alstyne. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Pallbearers are grandsons Nicholas Grisolia, Neil Grisolia, Eric Grisolia, Nathan Tillett, Joshua Grisolia, Jacob Grisolia, Michael Grisolia.
