Billy Orr Obituary
He is survived by his wife Yolanda; sister, Karen Stolz; sons, Matt Orr and Casey Orr; and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10th at Durant Middle School (formerly Durant High School), 802 W. Walnut in Durant with Police Chief David Houser, Roger McGehee, and Mayor Jerry Tomlinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bill Orr Memorial Fund through the City of Durant to build splash pads for the city's parks.
Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.

I am very sorry for your lost. I can imagine how heartbreaking it is to lose a loved one, but its uplifting to know that God promises us in Isaiah 65:17 a near future in which not only we wont feel this horrid pain in our hearts when we lose a loved one, but we wont even remember how it felt.

Mr. Orr was one of my teachers when I was in High School in the early 70's. He was always upbeat and supportive. Prayers for his family and many friends.

In 1967 I got my first and last school spanking because someone dared me to call Mr. Orr "Billy". It wasn't personal, it was about teaching me respect and I had it coming. The result was a lifetime of personal respect for a great teacher and an even better lifelong friend.
Fifty years have passed, and I've never called him anything but "Mr. Orr", (and I'm not the only one). Goodbye my friend.
