BRENDA CATO Obituary

BRENDA CATO 09/14/1955 - 08/18/2025 Brenda Faye Doss Cato passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at home in Denison, TX. She was 69 years old. Brenda was born on September 14, 1955, in Groesbeck, Texas to Alfred Marion Doss, Sr. and Ruth Idell Faulkner Doss along with twin sister, Linda Kay Doss. She attended Jefferson Elementary, Dillingham Middle School, and graduated from Sherman High School in 1974. Brenda was often described by others as the sweetest person they ever met. She lived to love others and be loved. Over the years, she found joy in caring for others through church and her jobs as a daycare teacher and home health aide. No matter what she faced, she never lost her sweetness and faith. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by siblings Alfred "Bud" Doss, Jr. and wife Patty of Box Church, and Linda Barron of Sherman; daughter, Dana Walker and partner Elijah Nelms of Anna; son, Jesse Brown of Cartwright, OK; grandchildren Madison, Chloe, and Jack Condron, and Kamden Brown; and canine companion, Piper. Family visitation will be held Friday, August 22nd, at Waldo Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 23rd, at Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas.
