Dorothy Washer Obituary

DENISON - Dorothy Mae Washer, 86, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center.
Visitation for Mrs. Washer will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Platter Baptist Church, Platter Road in Platter, Okla. Rev. Bill Robinson and Rev. John Heath will officiate.
Burial will be at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. after the funeral service. Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons and great-greatgrandsons.
Mrs. Washer was born on June 20, 1923 in Finchtown, Okla., the daughter of Ernest O. Redfern and Gladys Mae Redfern. She married Ralph Stonewall Washer on September 30, 1937 in Colbert, Okla.
She was a member of Platter Baptist Church, loved to cook, sew and read. She worked as a cook for Colbert Schools for 18 years. She was a member of Platter Baptist Church 62 years and taught Sunday school for 50 years. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, "Granny" and friend.
She is survived by children, Ronald and wife Laura Washer of Platter, Okla., Jimmy and wife Shonda Washer of Sanger, Michael and wife Virginia Washer of Colbert, Okla., Terry and wife Dixie Washer of Cartwright, Okla., Johnny Washer of Colbert, Okla., Tjuana Giesler and husband Ronnie of Colbert, Okla., Debbie Owen of Denison, Dana McKinney and husband Buddy of Platter, Okla., Jill Siebman and husband Marcus of Sadler; sister Betty L. Cooper of Whitesboro; brother C. E. Redfern of Texas; 33 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 12 great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; son, Eugene Dwight; granddaughter Kathy Denise Washer; great-granddaughters Saige Baeza and Reagan Lowery; sister Jean Gonzalez; brothers Ernest "Son" Redfern, Paul Redfern, and David Redfern.

My heart goes out to each and every member of the family. Dorothy was a wonderful lady to all she met and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She may have left this world but she also left behind a print on all of our hearts, by the loving memories she gave to all of us. I love you all.
