VAN ALSTYNE - Services for Eddie Monroe Richardson, age 44, of Van Alstyne will be held Friday at 10:00 am at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Parish Cundiff will officiate. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm in the Little John Cemetery in Chicota, Texas. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Eddie passed away Monday at his residence.

Eddie loved spending time with his family. He loved his best friend his wife of 26 years. Halloween was his favorite time of year and one more love was his motorcycle. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was a great pal pal to his grand dogs and soon to be grandchild. He was the best husband and daddy in the world. He had a passion for working for Collin County Sheriff. He was employed at the Collin County Sheriff office as a Detention Officer since 2002.

He is survived by his wife Denise Richardson of Van Alstyne. Son: Johnathon Richardson and his fiancé Tori Hunt of Van Alstyne. Daughter: Ashlie Richardson of Van Alstyne. Father: David Richardson and his wife Lindsey of McKinney. Mother: Victoria Maggart of Arkansas. Grandmother: Margie Richardson of Melissa. Sisters: Lisa Richardson of McKinney and Angela Norton of Arkansas. Eddie was preceded in death by his brother Michael Richardson.
