Chloe Psomas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home - Fort Gibson on Mar. 17, 2026.
A beautiful little girl, Chloe Rae Psomas, was born Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Cliff and Kristen (Alexander) Psomas and entered Heaven's Gates on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at her home in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.

Chloe's time on earth was brief, but she changed the lives of everyone around her. Chloe had a smile on her face every day despite the many challenges she faced in her daily life. From the moment Chloe was born, weighing only 1 pound 4 ounces, she was cherished and loved. God placed so many amazing people in her life to care for her on the daily rollercoaster journey of life she was on. What a ride she had, and she faced it with such strength that could only come from God. For Chloe's 23 months and 5 days on this earth, she was never without a family caregiver by her side to love her and care for any need she had. Chloe had numerous prayer teams praying for her all around the US and abroad. These prayers and God sustained Chloe and her family, giving them the strength and healing needed for her journey, that only could come from God.

Chloe's personality radiated this love as she grew. Chloe hardly ever cried – she was full of joy and brought so much happiness to her family. Chloe loved playing her piano and loved playing peek-a-boo with her family. Chloe loved sunglasses, always rocking the cool shades with her Daddy. She would laugh at the smallest of things – that little laugh will be missed. Chloe had multiple therapy sessions each week, and her family caregivers would also do therapy with her at home. Chloe would get so excited and shake with excitement when she knew that she did something good. Chloe loved facetiming her Daddy when he traveled for work, her great grandmother, Granny Jane and multiple other family members and friends. Chloe would reach for the phone trying to touch anyone she was talking to.

There was an ongoing "debate" between her Mama and Daddy on who she looked like – they were both so proud of their daughter and loved her so much. Despite what her Daddy said, almost everyone said Chloe looked like her Mama and was her mini-me. Chloe had the gentle, patient nature of her Daddy. What a gift God gave to them with this little life of Chloe's.

Chloe loved her bubba, Cole. When Cole came to his Fort Gibson home, he brought an immense amount of joy and love to his baby sister. In addition to playing and being silly with her, he was an amazing caretaker for Chloe as well. At such a young age, Cole showed some amazing qualities in caring for and loving a baby sister that had medical challenges. Cole never let this affect his love for Chloe and just adapted to any situation. Cole was looking forward to the day that he could take Chloe fishing and pick her up from school.

Many family members and friends did not get to meet Chloe in person due to Chloe's medical condition. A small celebration for Chloe was held in July 2025 in her home in Fort Gibson when she came off oxygen. Close family and friends gathered to celebrate Chloe turning one year old and her multiple victories in life. She was loved by all present and loved them back with her smiles. This memory will forever be cherished by her family.

Chloe is in the loving arms of our Jesus, surrounded by whole and perfect love. Her memory will always live on, and she will always be loved and remembered until we see her sweet face again.

Chloe is the daughter of Cliff and Kristen (Alexander) Psomas who will carry her love forever. She was also loved by her brother, Cole Psomas of Lee's Summit, MO; her aunt, Olivia Alexander of Denver, CO; her uncle, aunt and cousins, Jon, Desiree, Amara, and Kaia Psomas of Greeley, CO; her grandparents, Susan VanZant of Fort Gibson, OK, Clay Psomas of Tulsa, OK, and Ray (R.B.) and Brenda Alexander of Van Alstyne, TX; her great-grandmothers, Mary Taylor of Fort Gibson, OK, and Jane Alexander of San Angelo, TX. Chloe had many extended family members who loved her.

Preceding Chloe in death are her loved ones, Hobert and JoAnn Martin, John Psomas, James Alexander, Lester Schaefer, Edna Schaefer, Alton Schaefer, Dennis Schaefer and Eddie Alexander.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

A celebration of Chloe's beautiful life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall in Muskogee with Father John O'Neill serving as Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Jon Psomas, Adam Criner, Bobby Pearce, and Jared Williams serving as pallbearers.
