After stints in the Lubbock ISD and as faculty at Morehead State University in Kentucky, they concluded over 35 years as educators, retiring from the Denison ISD in Denison, Texas. In retirement they enjoyed their professional organizations, traveling and cruising with her sister Vicky and husband Bob and helping to raise their 3 beloved grandchildren, Charlie, Emma and Parker. Her family includes her three siblings, Joy, Harold and Vicky and families, her son Larry and Kate and family. She was predeceased by Charles her husband of 67 years; parents, Ed and Opal Hamilton; brother Harold and by her older son, Charles E. Whitfield USMC. No services are pending at this time.
