Emil Fredrick Feath

1922 - 2012

DENISON - E. F. "Sonny" Feath, 90, entered into eternal life Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison, Texas.

Mr. Feath was born March 15, 1922, the son of Mike and Matilda (Maywald) Feath in Denison. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army where he earned a purple heart in the 96th Infantry Division in Okinawa during World War II. He married the love of his life, Mary Norie May 10, 1947 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church. He worked locally for the Katy Railroad and as a custom home builder for many years. When not at work, he enjoyed playing golf at the Grayson County College golf course. Sonny was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was a good and faithful servant. He served as usher for more than 20 years. Sonny loved his family dearly, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Feath is survived by his beloved family, daughter, Carol Douglas and husband Wilber of Denison; two grandsons, Chris Douglas and John Douglas, both of Denison. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Feath, parents, Mike and Matilda Feath, two brothers, William Feath and Edward Feath, and three sisters, Mamie Brown, Josephine Anthony and Frances Pemberton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Denison. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. No set time for family visitation.
