Cheryl and Greg,

My heart goes out to you both in this most difficult time. I got to know Grant as a sweet and playful boy when I helped out with Mission Friends just a few years ago. I love you both and the girls, and am lifting you in pray now and in the days to come.

We just wanted to let you know that your family is in our prayers for your loss. During this time of despair, please try to remember that The Lord has a reason for everything. Sometime we might not understand it. He must've needed an awesome angel really desperately to take Grant from you at such an early age. We pray that The Lord will keep his loving hands on each and every one of you, give you the comfort and strength that you will need to get through this time of your lives. If you need anything at all, please feel free to call. Kari knows how to get ahold of Nick and Brittany. God bless your family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Aurielle & Grant have been friends since first grade. He was always respectful & polite. I'll never forget Aurielle's birthday swim party when the cake melted, he told me that it was OK. It was my pleasure to have known Grant as a room mother & as a counselor at Camp Goddard as well. We will always have fond memories of him.

Dear McKoy Family,

My sister shared of your loss as we spoke on the phone today and I have been thinking of you and praying for you with such a heavy heart ever since. In asking the Lord to cover you with a sense of peace right now that only He can give, I am also asking for days of Grace ahead for you... That you will be able to stand firmly against the temptation to ask yourselves the "Why" and "What if" questions that truthfully will never have sufficient answers on this side of heaven. And I'm asking that you will be able to anchor your hearts in knowing that you were wonderful parents to Grant in every way-- Everything that love could do was done.

Prayers over you and all who know and love Grant.

Cheryl, Greg and Family...My heart is so sad for you all. Grant was a precious student...one of my favorite 5th graders! He was a hard worker and so creative! I always loved how he shared his stories and drawings with me. What an imagination! :) I loved his sense of humor, sweet smile and willingness to work even when he was tired of working. I don't know how to ever make sense of his loss at such a young age, but my time with him was such a blessing and I will cherish it always! May the Lord bring you comfort and peace during this time.
