James Fitch Obituary

BONHAM - Funeral services for James Edward Fitch, age 79, of Garland, former longtime resident of Bonham will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Bro Morgan Malone will officiate; interment will follow at Carson Cemetery in Ector, Texas.

Mr. Fitch passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas. James Edward Fitch was born on May 1, 1935 in Ector, Texas to Jones and Eunice (Baker) Fitch. He married Nita Jo (Smith) Fitch on November 2, 1957 in Bonham, Texas. Mr. Fitch was the owner of Fitch Electric Supply, a past Scout Master of Troop 54, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bonham.

He is survived by wife - Nita Jo Fitch of Garland; sons - Clay Fitch of Mesquite, Texas; and Michael Fitch and wife Ingrid of Garner, N.C.; granddaughter - Natasha Fitch, brother - Jake Fitch of Corpus Christi, Texas and nephews - James Crelia and Jeff Crelia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister - Geraldine Skiba, and sister-in-law- Peggy Fitch.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Fitch, Michael Fitch, Ted Wilson, James Morris, James Wolf, and Bill Waits.

Family visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Bonham.
