James Brian Self

1968 - 2016

James Brian Self, formerly of Sherman, left this life behind on June 20th, 2016. He was born on March 10, 1968 to James and Brenda Reynolds Perdue. He is survived by his wife, Tina Jackson Self, and children Ashleigh, Joshua and Jedidiah, mother Brenda Steward and husband Ken, sister Cheryl Gray and husband Jeff, brother Jack Perdue and wife Amy and their children Eric and Melody, mother-in-law Retha Bagwell, sisters-in-law Renea Strong and husband Marce, Tonja Montgomery and husband Dale, and Shannon Jackson, many wonderful cousins, and grandmother Lucille Arney. He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law Michael Jackson, and his grandparents J.C. and Charlene Reynolds and Jack Arney.

Brian was a high school teacher, most recently teaching physics and engineering at Paul and Jane Meyer High School/Rapoport Academy in Waco. He had many talents, but singing and performing were his passions. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lighthouse Church, located at 2915 West Spur 503, Denison, Texas.
