Janie Ryan Obituary
She was born May 29, 1924 in Ambrose, Texas to the late Gidden Lee and Lillie Mae (Cunningham) Lee.
Aunt Janie was married to her true love, Harley Edward Ryan on August 30, 1947 at Lakewood United Methodist Church in Dallas. Together they lived their lives to the fullest. She was a member of the Ambrose Church of Christ. Early in her marriage she worked at various accounting firms in Dallas, and later went into business with her husband in bookkeeping. Aunt Janie enjoyed hosting her annual Christmas Party. She liked to shop, sew, and travel with her husband. Janie and Harley provided a comfortable and loving environment for all of her many nieces and nephews to greatly enhance their childhood experience.
She is survived her husband, Harley Ryan, of Denison; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Turner of Fort Worth, Annia Ortley and Bill Burk of Dallas, Laura Pike of Sherman, Kenneth Shrum of Windon, Robbie Landers and husband Ronnie of Bonham, Dr. Mike H. Ryan of Louisville, Kentucky, Kim S. Ryan of Richardson, Scott M. Ryan of Allen; brother in-law, Herbert M. Ryan of Richardson, and many more nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Eric Turner, Kurt Ortley, John Keen Jr., Adam Shrum, Nathan Landers, and Hunter Banks.
She was proceeded by, her parents; sister, Nellie Lee Shrum; nephew, Jeannie E. Shrum; great nephew, Red Shrum.
