Jonathan Nelson Obituary

Jonathan Nelson of Los Angeles died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009. He was born and raised in Sherman, and was 74 years of age. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in Los Angeles at Tried Stone Baptist Church, where Rev. Oden, Pastor will officiate. Boyd Funeral Home of Los Angeles is in charge of arrangements. He attended and graduated Fred Douglas High School and joined the U.S. Navy after graduation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Nelson, and Helen Nelson Robison of Sherman.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Los Angeles, Calif.; sons, Ronald (Winnie) Nelson of Bedford, Steve (Wendy) Nelson of Alta Loma, Calif., Carlos (Kristie) Deveaux, of Rialto, Calif.; daughters Terrie (Eugene) Dillard of Los Angeles, Calif., Michelle Nelson of Los Angeles, Calif., Angelia (Anthony) Smith of Forth Worth; one sister Josephine (Robert) Softly of Sherman; 17 grandchildren, one aunt, Bernice Bevels of Fort Worth, and a host of other relatives and friends.

To the Nelson Family,
May God be with you at this time of sorry, I extend my condolences to the entire Nelson family, I have known Mr. Nelson since I was a child growing up in Los Angeles, I know that his wonderful personality and kind spirit will be greatly missed.
