SHERMAN - Lowell Leslie "Grumpy" Andrew was born April 25, 1922 in Pilot Grove to Lowell Leslie Andrew, Sr. and May Adams Andrew. He married Flora Davis on March 3, 1946 at Dallas. He died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 at Medical City of Dallas at the age of 88.
His family and friends called him Grumpy. He loved his family and was very committed to taking care of everyone. He raised his children and several of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by daughter, Athalie "Toi" Mize and husband Jay of Arlington; daughter, Florette Deaton and husband Ronald of Sherman; son, Lowell Leslie Andrew III of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Pilot Grove Cemetery, Pilot Grove. Officiating the service will be members of the family.
Arrangements are with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitewright. An online registry may be signed at www.tjmfuneral.com
