Marsh White Obituary

ROWLETT - Marsh "Reg" White passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:25 a.m. in the Baylor Scott White Hospital, Rowlett, Texas, and closed his eyes to this world but opened them to his God and personal Savior.

"Reg" was born April 1, 1953 in Bonham, Texas. Here he grew up, attended and graduated from Bonham High School. Being the person he was and striving for advance education, he enrolled at the University of Arkansas and became an outstanding football player for the Razorbacks. This caught the eye of the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants, thus propelling him into the NFL with the New York Giants, he became a professional running back.

Later Marsh taught at Southwestern Bible Baptist Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary. He traveled to many countries such as Russia, Africa and England promoting his spiritual work. His ministry through radio, Facebook and the internet reached many people and "Reg" a soft spoken, quiet and gentleman treated everyone with dignity and respect and received much love from his family and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Stanley Eugene White.

He is survived by his family left with loving and cherished memories: are his mother-Lois White; brother-Sidney Warren White; sister-Cassandra Yvonne White, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. To Marsh, your family will meet you in the rapture.

Public viewing will be Monday, July 18, at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, TX, from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

The Home Going Celebration will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the First Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas, with Rev. Chase Hinson-host Pastor and Rev. Michael Braxton delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Bell Fountain Cemetery in Ravenna, TX.

My condolences to the family of Marsh White. Marsh White was a man of faith and devotion. Without knowing it Marsh gave me inspiration to go to college, and for that alone I, and my family will be eternally grateful. RIP Mr. Marsh White.

First and Foremost, my thoughts are extended to the bereaved family. Morris and I go back to the dog days of Fannin County Texas. Morris's aunt said one time that the so- called blacks of Fannin County Texas were poorer than poor. Only if you have an imagination for that thought, since imagination is one of two purposes the mind serve. I will always remember Morris for what he accomplished and what he stood for.
I was sadden for his passage and will miss him deeply. To a brother I loved
May peace be upon you.

Assalamu Alaikum

Marsh taught me practical mercy and grace. He helped me understand who I was in Christ, perfect in the sight of God. I will miss his "good morning, good morning, good morning" no matter the time of day when he answered his phone. I will miss that voice. He and my husband addressed each other as "Blood", because they were blood brothers in Christ.

Marsh and I went to Bonham High School together. I admired him then for being a true gentleman, his soft spoken voice, and his sweet spirit. We reconnected as Facebook friends and he inspired me with every devotional. Marsh was an anointed servant of our Lord. His home going leaves a hole in all of our hearts, but we will meet him again. What a glorious celebration heaven must have had when Marsh met Jesus face to face! My prayer is for peace and comfort for all who loved our dear friend.
