This walk down memory lane takes us back 58 years when I became a part of your family. I remember so many things that Judy and I shared in your home during our high school years. We were growing up and you were helping us to develop into strong young women. Thank you for all the help. I'll always remember your laugh. You have been a blessing to many lives that you never realized you touched. Thank you for being my friend and for considering me your friend. Love to you.

Mary Nadell Haney, better known to me as Granny and Granny Grunt to so many. She wasn't my mother but I felt like she was. I love her as if she were. She would often refer to me as her "other" daughter....and she was my friend. She was a woman full of faith who loved her family unconditionally. She was wise and kind. She shared her life stories and she loved life. She was spunky too. She didn't always like everyone, but if she liked you, the sun would rise when you saw her. She was always there to listen and give advice. But it was her faith that stood out the most; it was the foundation on which she lived her life. You couldn't help but feel it when you were with her. She had a special relationship with each of the people she loved. I know because the friendship we shared was very special. She touched each of our lives and she was a true gift and a blessing. I take comfort in knowing she's where she wants to be, sitting at the foot of the throne, watching over her loved ones. I will treasure every memory of my time with her.
I will miss my friend.
I love you Granny.
