Matthew Morrison Obituary
Matt is survived by his family; parents, Greg and Susie Morrison; brother, Miles Morrison and his wife, Emily, and their children, Avery and Micah. He is preceded in death by his brother, Brady Morrison; and his grandparents, Dick and Ann Morrison.
Matt was born on January 29, 1985 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Van Alstyne High School where he competed on the golf team and was the first student in Van Alstyne's history to qualify and compete at the state golf tournament. He played golf collegiately at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2008, with a degree in Marketing and Journalism. Matt was currently working with Allstate Insurance in Carrollton.
A visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at First Baptist Church of Melissa, located at 2101 East Melissa Road in Melissa, Texas.
The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, July 24, at the First Baptist Church of Melissa with a reception to follow.
All are welcome to attend & celebrate Matt's life.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.
