PATRICIA WILKIRSON-GADDIS Obituary

PATRICIA (PATI) ANN WILKIRSON-GADDIS Patricia (Pati) Ann Wilkirson-Gaddis, 65, passed away at her home in Van Alstyne, TX on Monday, October 28, 2024, along with the love of her life for 37 years, William (Bill) Gaddis and their beloved dog, LouLou. Pati was born on April 13, 1959, at the Army Hospital in Muenchweiler, Germany to Bob and Inge Taylor. She was the pride and joy of her maternal grandparents, Hans and Elsbeth Knobloch and it broke her grandfather's heart when the USAF transferred Bob back to the states while Pati was only an infant. She lived in several places while her dad was in the military and the family moved to Texas after he retired from NORAD in 1974. She graduated from Denison High School in 1977 and studied photography at Grayson College. She worked at Texas Instruments (T.I.) and MEMC for thirty-two years, before retiring when MEMC closed. Bill and Pati met at T.I. and lived in Howe, TX before building their dream home in Van Alstyne. They worked together on their home for five years before it was completed. They took pride in everything they did and enjoyed staying home. Pati loved photography, decorating, crafting, gardening, taking long walks, riding her bike with LouLou, and spending time with her family and friends. She was dedicated to the Lord and enjoyed reading daily scriptures and journaling her prayers. Her loved ones describe her as meticulous, kind, loving, patient, and considerate of others. She was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be forever missed. Pati is survived by daughter-Krystal Wilkirson, mother-Inge Taylor, sister-Karen (Randy) Taylor, brothers-Bobby (Rhonda) Taylor and Jeff (Renea) Taylor of Denison, TX, and nephews-Ryan (Paula, Kael, and baby girl due in December) Taylor of Corsicana, TX, Jordan (Meghan, Dawson, and Miles) Taylor of Spring, TX and Chance (Cantey and Bowen) Taylor of Columbus, SC. She is also survived by father-in-law, Dan Moody Gaddis, sister-in-laws-Barbara (Collin) Fowler and Danna (David) Moore of Amarillo, TX, brother-in-law-Randy Tucker of Floresville, TX, nieces-Leslie (Joey) Gunn of Anna, TX and Kaysha (Kyle) Ireland of Amarillo, TX, and nephews-Preston Fowler of Amarillo, TX, Jamason Fowler of Denton TX, Jonathan (Kyleigh) Moore of Arvada, CO, Steve (Courtney) Tucker of Adkins, TX and Scott (Rachel) Tucker of Waco, TX. She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Taylor, her mother-in-law, Dorothy Gaddis, and sister-in-law, Teresa Tucker. Pati, Bill, and LouLou will be laid to rest at Cedarlawn Memorial Park at a later date. A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Victory Life Church-4100 N. Travis St., Sherman, TX 75092 with Pastor Stan Roberts officiating. Lunch will be provided afterward. Pati had several rescue animals throughout her life and was known as an "animal whisperer". In lieu of flowers, she would be honored if memorials were made to the following: DAWG (Denison Animal Welfare Group), 3307 S. Eisenhower Pkwy, Denison, TX 75020.
