Naif,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many good memories of being in your Dad's store. My thoughts are with you as you deal with your loss. We lost my Mom in January, so I know how hard it is to lose a parent. Please take care.

Mr Risk helped me with a pair of work shoes in 2004. I had lost my Father a few months earlier. He reminded me of my Dad so with tears in my eyes I asked for a hug. The compassion he showed with that hug will never be forgotten.

Raymond will be missed by many. As when I was a very small girl, I can still remember every week stopping in with my father, Joe Shadid, to visit with all that would be there that evening. There would be laughter and talking throughout the whole visit. As a little girl, it was always facinating to watch someone come in for a shoe-shine. Still, after years have past-(50 years), my sister, Marilynn and I, talk about how we use to go to the shoe shop as part of our childhood memories. My condolences to the Risk family. May God bless and be with all of you.

When my daughter Jordan and I visited my mom Patricia Vail, next door to Mr. Risk, he would magically appear with ice cream bars! What a wonderful neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Raymond for many years that I had a business in sherman. I have sence retired for quite some time now. Sherman has lost many of the great workers for the people of the city, Raymond is one of them.
My heart goes out to the family.
