ROBERT ANGOVE Obituary

ROBERT RAY ANGOVE Robert Ray Angove, known simply and lovingly as Ray, passed away suddenly on June 29, 2025, at the age of 69, in his home in Gordonville, Texas. Born on October 29, 1955, in Memphis, Texas, Ray lived a life defined by generosity, kindness, and a deep love for others. Ray was the beloved son of the late John and Jean Angove (Crowder). He graduated from Bowie High School in 1974 and later earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas. In 1982, he married the love of his life, Dawn Angove (Williams), in Whitesboro, Texasa union built on deep affection, unwavering support, and shared adventure. Ray was a proud father to Tyler Angove and father-in-law to Erin Angove. Nothing brought him more joy than his role as "Grandpa" to Park and Elloree Angove, who reside with their parents in Sumter, South Carolina. His family was his pride, his purpose, and his greatest accomplishment. Ray retired from CoServ (formerly Denton County Electric), where he spent many years building not just a career, but lifelong friendships. His colleagues were more than coworkersthey were family. Ray approached life with a servant's heart, always ready to lend a hand, solve a problem, or quietly pay for a stranger's meal. His kindness wasn't just a traitit was a way of life. A true Texan, Ray found peace and joy in the outdoors. Whether he was hunting with friends at deer camp, sharing stories around the fire, or perfecting the art of Texas-style smoked barbecue, Ray treasured the fellowship that came with these moments. He was passionate about BBQ competitions, and even more so about the camaraderie they inspired. His warm and easygoing nature made him the kind of man people gravitated towardand remembered. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jean Angove. A graveside service will be held to honor Ray's life at Allison Cemetery at 10:00 AM on July 28th. Ray's legacy is one of love, humility, generosity, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever celebrated.

Dawn and Tyler, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ray. He was such a nice person. I bet he was a great grandpa. I pray you find comfort in your memories. Peace be with you.
