Surviving him are his son, Chris Abbett and daughter-in-law, Mary Abbett and his sisters, Gaye Cunningham and Faye Curry; his brothers-in-law, Dick Cunningham and Jim Curry; and a lot of loving friends.
Mr. Abbett was cremated according to his wishes. There is no service planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman.
