Eric Hobbs

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Lee Hobbs, age 34, who passed away on March 10, 2026 in Albany, Texas.

Eric was born on January 24, 1992 in Abilene, Texas to Stacy Hobbs Bowen and Richard Pratt. He was known for his loving heart, contagious laughter, and the way he could brighten a room with his presence. Those who knew him best will remember his humor, loyalty, and the genuine care he had for the people in his life.

Like many individuals, Eric faced personal challenges that made his journey through life more difficult. He fought quietly through struggles that many people endure but few speak openly about. While those struggles were part of his story, they never defined the whole of who he was. He was a dad, son, brother, friend, and loved one whose life carried meaning and impact for those around him.

Eric enjoyed being outdoors with family and friends at Stamford Lake and The River; celebrating with loved ones, and embracing being a dad. He valued the connections he shared with others. The moments of laughter, conversations, and memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Evan Lee Hobbs of Pampa, Texas; mother, Stacy Hobbs Bowen and step-dad Frankie Early of Abilene, Texas; father, Richard Pratt of Hico, Texas; grandmother, Brenda Hobbs of Albany, Texas; two sisters, Britney Zamudio and husband Andre of San Angelo, Texas and Alexis Pratt of Hico, Texas; five brothers, Casey Bowen of Abilene, Texas, Brady Ramsey of Wichita Falls, Texas, Noah Ramsey of Canyon, Texas, Doug Clifton of Canyon, Texas, and William Robison of Killeen, Texas; uncles and aunts, Steven Hobbs and wife Melissa of Albany, Texas, John Hobbs and wife Barbara of Hawley, Texas, Billy Pratt and wife Karen of Granbury, Texas, Steven Pratt of Stephenville, Texas, Kenneth Pratt and wife Barbara of Stephenville, Texas and Charles Pratt and wife Trisha of Stephenville, Texas, along with many friends and extended family members who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bart (Randy) Hobbs and DeWayne Pratt; and grandmother, Marlyn Pratt.

A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2026 at the Albany Cemetery Pavillion at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at the Feed Store in Albany, Texas where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life.

Though his life was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity supporting addiction recovery in honor of his memory.
