RUTH LYNN Obituary

RUTH KAREN LYNN Ruth Karen Lynn, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Bonham, Texas. Born on July 16, 1944, in Fort Benning, Georgia, she lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family and guided by her passions. Karen was the beloved wife of Billy Wayne Lynn and a devoted mother to her three sons: John William, Anthony Thurston, and Edward Louis. Her family circle extended to include her daughters-in-law, Lee-Ann Kuuipo Burgess-Lynn and Michelle Lee Bacher. She took great pride in her grandchildrenShelby Renee Meritt, Keohokaleleonalani Mikaella Lynn, Samantha Nicole Lynn, and Michael Kamakanaokalani Lynnas well as her great-grandchild Aria Rose Meritteach of whom brought joy to her life. She shared a close bond with her sister, Jill Layne Coker, and brother-in-law George Edward Coker. Karen also held dear the memory of those who preceded her in death: her father, Anthony John Layne; her mother, Ruth Davis Brodie Layne; her brother, John Brodie Layne; and her nephew, Tony Layne Coker. A private family gathering was held to honor Karen's life on September 13, 2025, at her home. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
