Mr. Hestand was my very first Principal when I began my teaching career at Mansfield High School in 1978. He was a great leader and well respected. My deepest, heartfelt sympathy and prayers to his Family!

I was very fortunate to have worked for Mr. Tom Hestand early in my career at Mansfield High School.
He was a supportive and encouraging educator.
I hold many fond memories of him and his sweet wife, Wanda. Education has lost a dedicated man who positively influenced so many.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

This man was the best leader a school could have had during the racial tensions of that era.I thoroughly enjoyed the sports with his son Terry in those years. God bless this family and I owe Tom for encouraging me back in old Mansfield high.
