Tommy Whisenhunt Obituary

Funeral services with military honors for Tommie Ray Whisenhunt, 79, of Ivanhoe, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Marty Hutchings will officiate. Burial will follow in Lamasco Cemetery. Tommie passed away Tuesday night, Feb. 8, 2011 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Tommie was born January 20, 1932 in Ivanhoe, the son of Ira Whisenhunt and Nettie Farris Whisenhunt. He attended school in Ivanhoe and was a U.S. Army veteran. Tommie was an independent construction worker. He was a Baptist and enjoyed fishing.
Tommie was preceded in death by a son, T. R. Whisenhunt, Feb. of 2010 and his parents.

He is survived by son, Ronnie Whisenhunt of Bonham; daughter, Kim Jones (Mickey) of Durant; sister, Carol Foreman (Cordell) of Telephone; grandchildren, Caleb, Cailee, Cassidi, Chad, Colton, Brandon, and Leslie Numerous great grandchildren; caregivers, Sherry Mosley, Karen Mosley, Danesha Stephens, Donna Keeton, Heather, and Jimbo Maroney and Samantha Pearson.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Foreman, Kevin Foreman, Chad Whisenhunt, Cory Foreman, Caleb Jones and Colton Whisenhunt. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Funderburk, Max Hutchings, Chris Mosley and Audi Mosley.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time, Saturday.
