Wanda Hoket Obituary

Wanda Sue Hoket, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Mrs. Hoket was born February 12, 1935 in Sherman, Texas the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Flowers) Runnels. She married John D. Hoket, December 24, 1952 in Van Alstyne, Texas.
For several years, she was a beautician. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Wanda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Hoket leaves behind her beloved family, brother, E. C. Runnels of Denison; sister, Charlotte Martin of Sherman; grandchildren Justin Hoket of Denison, Ashley Murphy and husband, Bobby of Sherman, Sonya Rangel of Denison, and Crystal Spence of Bokchito, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John D Hoket, their two children, Lana Kay Hoket Spence of Bokchito, Okla; Johnny Lynn Hoket of Denison; and brother Billy Jack Runnels of Sherman.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. There is no set time for family visitation
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
