Nelda Louise Holland

Nelda Louise Holland, 84, of Salem, died July 2 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born October 6, 1922 in Roanoke County to the late Myrtle Agee Mutter and Mac Mutter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Wilson Holland and her sister, Doris M. Bailey Brawley. Nelda was retired from the General Electric Company and attended First Christian Church in Salem, Virginia. In her retirement, she enjoyed participating in activities with Salem Senior Citizens, her church circle, and traveling. She is survived by sons, George Randolph Holland and his wife, Cushing, of Salem, and John David Holland and his wife, Iona, of Roanoke; and daughters, Mary Louise Holland of Salem and Barbara H. Bevan and son-in-law, E. Douglas Bevan of Durham, N.C. Also surviving are grandchildren Laura H. Vives of Atlanta, Ga., Thomas Wilson Holland of Salem, Michelle Marie Feuillatre' of Roanoke, and Danielle Julie Feuillatre' of Manitoba, Canada; and her brother, Price M. Mutter and wife, Nancy; and sister Frances M. Price, of Salem; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit the family at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be will be held on Friday, July 6 at Sherwood Cemetery in Salem at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made in her name to First Christian Church, 712 Front Street, Salem, Va. 24153 or to The American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216.
