Bob and I have many many fond memories of our travels with Barb and Alan. Hawaii and the Oregon Coast. Also, the many Saturday nights playing Pinochle or Hearts at our home or at theirs. Much fun and laughter.
Rest in Peace Barb and Alan we miss you.

What a beautiful day we had to remember Alan. The sun was shining, the skys were blue and the air warm. These were the kind of days Alan enjoyed, why he would come down to Arizona and sit at the pool side watching the vacuum running around the bottom of the pool. It didn't matter how hot it was, in fact the hotter the better!

I have many wonderful memories of Alan and Barbara and will always keep them close to my heart.

Alan, you are and will be missed. Until we meet again.

I met Alan in 1970 while serving in the US Navy. I reported to FAW-8 and Alan. Not only was he my supervisor, he became a good friend and mentor. I want to thank you Alan for convincing me on what I had to do with my life. You will always be my friend. Miss you.

Alan, this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. We had a wonderful, fun filled, happy marriage of 53 years. We got to travel and see the world. We had three wonderful children, three wonderful grandchildren, and one wonderful great-grandchild. When you got out of the hospital, you wanted to move where it is warm and the sun shines forever. It was not to be, but you sent the sun shine, and warm weather for your funeral. I'm thinking of you always and forever. I love you and I know that you are out of pain now. Love you, B

What a lovely send off yesterday at Alan's graveside service. The kind of day Alan would have loved...sunshine, blue skies, warmth and his family gathered around. First I'd like to say "thank you Alan for your service to our country". The Navy did themselves proud in their send off to you yesterday.

My husband Bob and I knew Barbara first from our careers at Boeing. Barbara, Alan, Bob and I became traveling buddies and pinochle pals for a number of years. I will always have fond memories of our trip to Hawaii together and of course the laughter we shared on our trips to the Oregon coast. I will say that Alan was a master at any project he took on i.e. building doll houses from kits, boat or house or stutz bearcat. Once Alan got his hands on these projects he worked on them diligently and fastidiously that when and if he sold any of his projects they sparkled and were 150% better than when he purchased them. We will miss our friend and will be here for Barbara whenever she needs us. May Alan roam the warmest beaches under the warmest sunshine with the bluest skies in heaven.

I miss you dad. I miss your warm loving hugs. But I know that you are free of pain now and probably somewhere in Mexico with Bebee enjoying the warm sun. ~ Deb
