Ann Gibson Obituary

It is with unbearable broken hearts that we share news, that our Wife, Mother, Grammie, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Neighbor, Sewing/Crafting Partner, and Animal Loving Advocate has passed.

Ann treasured those who were close to her, if you were fortunate to be in Ann's circle of importance you were loved beyond measure and showered with Ann Made items that expressed her love.

Ann never forgot a birthday or missed an opportunity to express her love and thoughtfulness with a carefully selected note card or postcard, accompanied by a handwritten message or letter (the best ones contained a witty joke- reflecting her humorous nature).

This marvelous human was curious about all life had to offer and how everything worked. She could do and make anything once she figured out how to build, craft, cook, or create it. Her curiosity and passion for life made her a world traveler along with her husband, a passion she shared with and instilled in her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She memorialized her adventures through her thousands of beautiful photos.

Ann was an employee of the phone company for over 30 years, where she was everything from an operator to a cable runner. Post retirement, Ann had been a committed animal advocate, fostering many dogs and puppies over the years (some which found their furever home with her and her husband), she spent her weeks post retirement volunteering at the local animal shelter socializing litters of kittens and puppies.

Ann led an exemplary life of compassion, hard work, commitment, loyalty, curiosity, humor and love. We will continue to love and miss her beyond measure.

So sorry Jimmy, miss the fun trips to Belize with you guys. Ann always made them fun and got me to snorkel even if I can't swim. Miss you both. She taught me how to use a roto hammer too, not that I've used that talent in recent years since GTE!

I am SO shocked to hear of Ann's passing! She was an absolute gem of a woman. I worked with her for years with her at GTE/Verizon. I counted her as a friend tho I saw her seldom after retirement. I will greatly miss just knowing she's not here any more. I pray for her family and those who loved her. If there's any kind of memorial, please let me know. Rest in peace dear, precious one.

Our dear friend Ann will be greatly missed. She was inspiring, supportive and very creative. She also volunteered at our lavender farm in the summer every Thursday and at all our festivals.
She will be dearly missed and always loved.
