Anthony Fitch Obituary

December 8, 1976 - July 26, 2017 We lost a "good one" on July 26, 2017 as Anthony Kenneth Patrick Fitch left us for his final venture. Tony was born on December 8. 1976 in Everett, Washington. He grew up splitting time between his hometown of Marysville, Washington and the waters of Southeast Alaska once fishing season began each year to help the family business prosper. Tony perfected true fisherman skills as he used his incredible strength to furiously "pick the net" and his keen observation skills to quickly identify various species of salmon in order to receive top dollar. Once Tony's time in the fishing industry ended he pursued a career in the Elevator Repairmen's Union where he used his superior intellectual and mechanical skills to successfully achieve journeyman status. Most recently Tony spent time making memories with his young family. Whether it be picking up Sawyer from Kindergarten in the "Hellcat" or cleaning up the garage with Archie, he always had his boys in mind. Tony expressed his love for his wife, Anne by sharing his most fun and adventurous side with her. As their relationship first began, Tony took Anne fishing for the season in Alaska, a bold move made only by a man in love. Tony's legacy will be carried on through Sawyer and Archie and his eternal love for Anne will live through the memories they made together. Tony's many interests and knowledge were simply avenues to his most endearing quality; his ability to create and maintain valued friendships. To know Tony was to love him. New friends would quickly see through Tony's gruff voice to find a kind heart, a witty sense of humor, and a looming bear hug that captured the care he had for those he loved. Tony leaves behind his parents, Rick and Patti Fitch; his wife, Anne Fitch; and two sons, Sawyer and Archie Fitch; his sister and her husband, Mollie and Andy Estes; and his nephew and niece, Avery and Maisie Estes. Tony blessed his family with love, laughter and a fearless protection only he could provide. A memorial service will be held for Tony's close friends and family on September 10, 2017 at Kayak Point from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. "And remember my sentimental friend, that a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others." -The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Anne, I wanted you to know that Rob had so much fun carpooling and working with Tony. He would come home and talk non-stop about him. Though I wasn't blessed with meeting your husband I feel like I knew him through Rob. He told me about his big heart, how much he loved you and his kids, about his sense of humor, work stories, friends in common (the Frantzens), his love for his car, etc. I have only seen my husband cry three times and Tony's passing was one of them. Rob will truly miss him! We think about you and your boys often. Please let us know if there's anything we can do for you or your family.

Tony was one of a kind. He touched many lives in so many ways. I remember many nights hanging out in the shop until the wee hours of the morning listening to Tony, Bob and Brandon talking about and working on cars. He was a great storyteller and would make anyone laugh. He had a tough exterior with a gentle side that he showed when he let his guard down.

Tony you are family to us. We will miss your smile, stories, big hugs(ok maybe just me) and most of all just talking to you. Your friendship with Bob had ups and downs over the years as you both grew up into men. Yet through it all you remained great friends. You are now an angel in the sky watching over your loved ones.

Tony you will be missed dearly. We love you, Rest In Peace my brother.
